If you are an experienced Cost Accountant interested in a growth potential position, please read on!Why join us?A career with us means an opportunity for professional and personal growth in an entrepreneurial environment.In addition, we offer:Competitive pay and benefitsEqual-opportunity employer and diverse workforceDynamic, fast-paced setting with opportunity for growthJob DetailsSpecific Duties --- Analyzing job variance reporting on a daily basis and identify trends and costing/issues --- Responsible for resolving costing issues --- Preparing general ledger journal entries --- Maintaining accurate inventory costing --- Performing standard cost rolls --- Preparing monthly general ledger account reconciliations for Inventory, WIP and others as required --- Supporting interim and year-end financial audits --- Supporting physical inventory and cycle counts --- Performing ad hoc financial analysis --- Maintaining BOMs as needed --- Attending operations meetings to provide finance related support to the management team with respect to Finance related questions. --- Recommending changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profitQualifications --- 3 or more years of staff accounting experience with a manufacturing organization or environment. --- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles --- Experience preparing and analyzing general ledger account reconciliations --- Must possess excellent type written, written and verbal communication skills --- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously --- Established skills in accuracy, organization, meeting deadlines --- Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the company --- Ability to Travel to CA for training.Education Requirements --- 4-year degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university. --- CPA or CMA a plus, but not requiredSoftware and Information Systems Requirements --- Experience using ERP systems, including Job Costing, GL, inventory, shop floor control, --- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, v lookups and other related analytical tools found within ExcelInterested in hearing more?
