Description:This is an office position.We are looking for an energetic Staff Accountant to manage our day to day financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining a detailed record of financial transactions, data, and reports. You will be working closely with the ontroller in handling all financial activities with ease.Besides, you will be assisting the and the internal team members in conducting audits. You should be a detail-oriented individual and have the ability to cross-check and reconcile bank statements and taxation documents.Your role as a Staff Accountant will require you to provide support and financial advice to clients. Apart from this, you should be able to perform administrative duties such as preparing and processing invoices. • Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization
• Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit & loss statements
• Maintains the general ledger
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
• Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
• Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections
• Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
• Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
• Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software
• Manages the purchasing and invoicing system
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularitiesRequirements:Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university;
  • 1+ years related accounting experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferredCompetencies:
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel with skills including but not limited to pivot tables, v-lookups, if formulas, and macros
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
    • Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
    • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
    • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
