Description Robert Half is searching for an experienced Accounting Clerk for an expanding company. You will perform a range of Accounting Clerical duties including, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent role is for an Accounting Clerk in the Franklin, Tennessee, area.
Major responsibilities

• 
  
• 
  Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes
  
  
• 
  Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed
  
  
• 
  Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
  
  
• 
  General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  
  
• 
  Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
  
  
• 
  Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts
  
  
• 
  Add financial information to journals and ledgers
  
  
• 
  Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
  
  
• 
  Data entry experience
  
  
• 
  Command of Accounts Payable (AP)
  
  
• 
  Foundational knowledge in QuickBooks
  
  
• 
  Maintain Vendor Files experience
  
  
• 
  Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
  
  
• 
  AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  
  
• 
  Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
