Key Responsibilities: Facilitate clear and accurate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, their peers, teachers, and staff. Interpret lessons, instructions, and school activities in American Sign Language (ASL) in real time. Collaborate with educators and support personnel to ensure an inclusive learning environment. Travel to various school locations within the district to provide consistent interpretation services as needed. Desired Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language with proven interpreting experience, preferably in K-12 educational settings. Strong understanding of deaf culture and effective communication strategies in classroom environments. Ability to travel regularly within the assigned area. Flexibility, reliability, and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and school personnel. Location: Position is based in Madison, MS with travel to local schools required.
