Job Description:

I have a client located just north of the Nashville, TN area that has an immediate need for an Electrical Controls Engineer. If you or anyone you know is qualified and interested in the position listed below, please click "Apply Now"The Electrical Engineer will perform electrical design and development work for security related products. The design work entails circuit design, panel layout, PLC programming, as well as conductor and conduit design for equipment operated by control panels. The Electrical Engineer will be a permanent member of a team and work with other engineers and managers to complete assignments.Qualifications:At least, 5+ years of experience in control systems design.Viable candidates should have Allen-Bradley experience for PLC and HMI application and programming experience using RSLogix 500/5000.Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer skills is required - At the very least, AutoCAD 2D and MS Office proficiency.B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.P.E. (Professional Engineering) license is a plus.Duties & Responsibilities:Reads and interprets diagrams and documentation and communicates with customers to understand objectives and preferences.Work with Account Managers, Project Managers, and clients to understand scope of work and specifications for projects.Specify and design circuits, create panel layouts, and write PLC programs for our highly specialized security systems.Specify conductor and conduit design for equipment operated by control panels that he/she designs.Create Bills of Materials for designs that he/she has created.Work directly with team CAD designer to ensure design is captured on submittal and shop drawings.Proactively work with Panel Shop Technicians to ensure that design issues are resolved efficiently and accurately.Design customized intrusion detection and CCTV applications as required.Provide technical support to field technicians and assist in resolution of electrical issues with the company's products in service.Actively participate in forums with other Electrical Engineers in Engineering Department to share ideas, assist in problem solving, and help develop and grow electrical engineering expertise.Actively participate in company's Intellectual Property process.Coordinate with other project team members and assist others as needed to meet schedules.Ensure that projects are handled in a professional manner.Perform other duties as defined and assigned by management.
