Job Description Job Description Aerotek is hiring for Machine Operator Madison, NC Direct hire Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating equipment efficiently, maintaining desired production rates, and minimizing downtime. Effective communication with ground storage and Making Operators using radios and telephones is essential. A basic understanding of transfer cars, haulage systems, and the Making area, where brick is mixed and molded, is required. It is a physical position as you will be working with brick/masonry work - please take that into consideration. Responsibilities Maintain a safe and clean work area to prevent personal injury and property damage. Use proper safety equipment and procedures, including lockout/tagout (LO/TO). Learn other jobs and fill in as needed. Develop a good working knowledge of Artech and Ceric setters. Understand and use computers in relation to the operation of the Setting Machine. Use hand tools to adjust, repair, and perform preventative maintenance. Perform product changeovers accurately. Assist the brick machine operator as needed. Essential Skills Machine operation experience. Ability to perform changeovers and setups. Repair and preventative maintenance skills. Proficiency with hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Two-year certification is a plus. Onsite forklift certification may be provided. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is in a brick masonry manufacturing environment that includes both indoor and outdoor settings. The work area is not climate-controlled and can be dirty, with exposure to dirt, dust, and mud. Candidates must be able to work independently in varying temperatures and should be prepared for their clothes to get dirty. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, earplugs, a hard hat, and a safety vest. The primary work location is Plant 5, with occasional work at other plants in Madison. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $37440.00/yr. Will provide as requested Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Madison,NC.
