Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Director, Hypersonics Growth to lead and
execute growth strategies across the hypersonics portfolio. This
role is responsible for identifying, shaping, and capturing new
business opportunities aligned to customer mission needs across the
Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Department of
Energy. The Director will work closely with technical, program,
financial, and executive leadership to drive sustainable growth,
mature customer relationships, and position Leidos as a trusted
hypersonics mission partner. Primary Responsibilities Lead and
execute the hypersonics growth strategy aligned with business area,
division, and enterprise objectives. Identify, qualify, and shape
new business opportunities from early customer engagement through
contract award. Serve as Capture Lead or Senior Capture Advisor for
priority hypersonics pursuits. Develop and implement win
strategies, including customer engagement plans, competitive
assessments, and teaming strategies. Establish and maintain
senior-level customer relationships across DoD Services, OSD,
DARPA, MDA, AFRL, ONR, SDA, DOE, and other relevant organizations.
Own and manage the hypersonics growth division’s budget, staffing,
and pipeline, including oversight of growth and capture budgets,
workforce planning, and pipeline development and forecast accuracy.
Partner with technical and program leadership to align internal
capabilities, IRAD investments, and solution architectures to
emerging requirements. Coordinate across Leidos business areas to
drive integrated, enterprise solutions and optimize resource
utilization. Support proposal development activities, including
reviews, solution shaping, pricing alignment, and executive
messaging. Monitor market trends, threat developments, and
acquisition strategies impacting hypersonics programs. Contribute
to long-range strategic planning, division operating plans, and
growth performance metrics. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or related technical
discipline. Minimum of 15 years of experience supporting DoD, DOE,
or national security programs. Minimum of 8 years of experience in
growth, capture management, or business development for complex
technical programs. Demonstrated understanding of
hypersonics-related technologies, including hypersonic weapons or
vehicles, propulsion systems, thermal protection systems and
materials, modeling and simulation, or test and evaluation
infrastructure. Proven experience leading capture efforts and
contributing to successful contract awards. Ability to communicate
effectively with technical, programmatic, financial, and
acquisition stakeholders. US Citizen with ability to obtain a
TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a
technical discipline. Prior experience as a Director, Capture
Manager, or Portfolio Growth Lead. Existing customer relationships
within the hypersonics mission space. Experience supporting
Department of Energy programs, laboratories, or acquisition
organizations. Familiarity with OTAs, rapid acquisition pathways,
and classified program environments. Active TS/SCI clearance.

posting date as listed above. Pay Range: Pay Range $154,050.00 -
$278,475.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general
guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
