Job Description:
Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based
Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense
system engineering, research, design, development, integration,
test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government. Our

Engineering Technician to support testing activities at Redstone
Arsenal. Candidate will be responsible for fabrication efforts to
support ongoing testing and direct communication with customers,
stakeholders and teammates. Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate directly with customers and interpret engineering
drawings to manufacture custom precision components, supporting
diverse projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving R&D
environment with minimal supervision. Operate a variety of machine
tools for fabrication tasks, including (but not limited to) band
saws, lathes, milling machines, hand tools, precision measuring
equipment, general machine shop tools, and tool grinders. Set up
and operate multi-purpose computerized numerically controlled (CNC)
machines to perform any combination of machining operations.
Develop and modify CNC programs using Mastercam or similar CAM
software. Perform sheet metal fabrication including cutting,
forming, drilling, and assembly of components and enclosures.
Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional
accuracy and maintain tight tolerances. Collaborate directly with
engineers and technical staff to support prototype development and
hardware modifications. Education High School diploma required,
degree or formal training in machine tool technology or equivalent
experience preferred. Qualifications: 10 years of precision
machining experience programming, setup and operation of manual and
CNC lathes/mills. Prior experience reading engineering drawings and
CAD models to produce unique precision parts. Prior experience in
programing, setup, and operation of a variety of machines including
3-axis CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills and manual lathes.
Excellent verbal communication skills. Preferred: Experience in a
DoD or R&D environment. Experience supporting testing
activities Familiarity with SolidWorks models and drawings.
Additional Requirements: Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
