Job Description:
ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril’s Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) is a
division with two missions: 1) build highly capable autonomous
drones, and 2) build solid rocket motors at scale. We transform
products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius from early concepts
into fully operational capabilities by partnering closely with
specialist engineering, operations, and production teams. Through
our Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team, we design and
manufacture solid rocket motors using advanced materials,
proprietary formulations, and high-volume production
methods—delivering safe, reliable propulsion systems that support a
wide range of mission requirements. TRS hires software engineers &
hardware engineers, who are excited to build across a diverse and
powerful portfolio—from autonomous aerial systems to
high-performance solid rocket motors. Our teams contribute to
highly capable autonomous robotics systems and propulsion products
that operate reliably in the most demanding mission environment.
ABOUT THE JOB We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to
join our team in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will design and
develop the safety-critical circuitry to be used in Ignition Safety
Devices (ISD) and Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESAD). WHAT
YOU’LL DO Design and own embedded control electronics from concept
to production, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB
design, board bring-up, and system level integration. Troubleshoot
issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid
skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and
software debugging tools. Work closely with other electrical,
mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully
functional products. Work in a fast-paced environment supporting
new developments, active deployments, and customer operated
hardware. Helped managed product sustainment in a production
process with engineering improvements, product cost down, and
sourcing engineering support. Concurrently manage involvement in
multiple projects at various stages. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s Degree
in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. 8
years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex
embedded systems and products. Demonstrated experience with some of
the following: 8- and 32-bit Microcontrollers, Linux-based SOCs,
FPGAs, Ethernet, common communication busses (SPI, I2C), and power
regulation. High voltage DC and safety devices. Power management
and supply design experience - low power DC; medium voltage AC;
battery storage systems. Network management and switch design
experience - Ethernet Gbit switch/PHY; configuring Ethernet
switches (SW/PC). Competence with test equipment such as
oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and
automation of tests. Exceptional organization and communication
skills (both written and oral). Proficient with Altium Designer or
equivalent electronic design automation design tools. Eligible to
obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency with C. Familiarity with
software development processes and tools such as git, Github, JIRA,
etc. Experience with developing for a safety-critical environment.
Experience working on products used in tough environments
(automotive, aerospace, defense, etc.). Knowledge of embedded
software development, including use of timers, interrupts, hardware
peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs. US Salary Range
$126,000 - $167,000 USD The salary range for this role is an
estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive
of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not
limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical
skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity
grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are
considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
