Job SummaryIn collaboration with the Clinical Programs Director of
Oncology and the Cancer Program Manager, the Manager, Cancer
Program Development is responsible for assisting with organizing
and directing designated strategic activities as well as providing
oversight of designated Oncology initiatives in support of the
mission, vision, and goals of Sarah Cannon in order to achieve
clinical program goals. You will collaborate with the Cancer
Program Managers and assist with developing and coordinating
comprehensive and integrated disease site specific oncology
programs, processes, and toolkits across the Sarah Cannon
enterprise. You will work with market/division leadership to
implement and support delivery of Clinical Programs. You will also
ensure lasting organizational change and adherence to the programs
through metric measurement and reporting outcomes. Duties include
and are not limited to
- Leads disease site specific clinical program goals and
processes that align with the Sarah Cannon vision and mission
statement
- Seeks to further the growth and development of the HCA cancer
programs
- Collaborates with the Navigation manager, enterprise
navigators, Sarah Cannon Executive Leadership team, and HCA market
physicians to develop and optimize disease site specific cancer
programs
- Develop a deep understanding of clinical cancer programs and
clinical and medical workflows
- Works to improve adoption and best practice use of cancer
toolkits by HCA cancer programs
- Develops systems to collect data for utilizing metrics and
analytics to validate progress
- Ability to communicate with all levels of Sarah Cannon
leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff
that is essential for this role
- Ensures toolkits stay current and continuously manages
enhancements
- Assists in development and coordinates, in collaboration with
Cancer Program Managers, physician and clinical leaders,
comprehensive and integrated disease site specific oncology
pathways, processes and quality metrics across the Sarah Cannon
enterprise that align with the Sarah Cannon vision, mission
statement, and strategic plan
- Assist where needed in disease site specific workgroups at the
Leadership (corporate) and Market levels in collaboration with
Regional Vice Presidents and physician leaders
- Organizes and drives enterprise, market and facility goals
regarding clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, market share and
financial performance
- Identifies barriers to initiatives success; negotiates through
barriers with clinical programs team to keep progress on track
- Oversees the work, projects and processes of various staffing
development of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center of Excellence
toolkits
- Executes the detail of assigned strategic projects
- Works alongside Clinical Programs team to ensure Cancer program
toolkit communication and deployment strategy are followed
through
- Works closely with the Sarah Cannon navigation and Clinical
programs team in creating comprehensive cancer program
processes
- Facilitates focus groups with the HCA cancer programs to ensure
toolkits are meeting the programmatic needs
- Communicates with all levels of Sarah Cannon leadership,
clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff that is
essential for program development in the hospital community
setting
- This is a Nashville, TN based positionQualifications
neededEducation -Bachelor s Degree (4-year program)
- At least 3 years experience in a clinical setting
- At least 1-2 years of corporate Project/Program Management
experience working with executives and physicians building
programs
- Proven and measurable delivery of clinical initiatives
- Experience in a high-visibility position within a fast-paced
environment building oncology programs
- Must be able to present and communicate to senior executives
and senior leaders including C-Suite
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- MS Office Suite Experience (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred -Master s Degree (2-year program)
- Oncology program development experience
- Hospital and/or multi-facility management experience
preferred
