Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Operations Manager to be responsible for production employees and Supervisors in a highly automated food manufacturing facility. Will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, hygiene, and cleanness of the equipment and/or systems.Responsibilities:--- Ensure all Food safety policies are followed in compliance with IFS or other GFSI body to ensure a safe and quality product is provided to customers.--- Member of the plant Quality Food Safety Team, Recall Team, and HACCP Team.--- Manage all production employees; including supervisors, across all shifts meeting designated productivity metrics, including labor costs, operational efficiency, waste/loss rates, etc.--- Create a culture of safety and ensure safety regulations are followed. Provide guidance and training on safety, machine operation, sanitation, quality, customer service, and maintenance.--- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and work with the QA manager on any department opportunities.--- Plan and direct workload to efficiently execute production/CIP schedules to optimize plant resources and meet scheduled production commitments to customers.--- Manage production activities to ensure compliance with customer expectations for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.--- Develop and implement action plans to address production performance concerns.--- Maintain communication with departments and ensure production priorities and shortfalls are addressed in a timely fashion.--- Compile reports on areas such as: production yields, material usage, and material loss data.--- Develop and manage budgets, goals, and standards.--- Maximize quality and productivity by evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause and corrective action.--- Schedule plant resources based on capacity and customer demand.--- Interact with customers as needed regarding new product lines, trials, and satisfaction goals.--- Secure tools and equipment for employees as needed to allow them to effectively perform their job tasks.--- Effectively communicate (verbally and written) with internal and external parties--- Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire and train new employees, and/or oversee those processes.--- Support continual compliance with all regulatory and federal agencies.--- Keep employees motivated and organize appropriate training.--- Ensure business operates accordingly to the company's mission statement.--- Investigate customer satisfaction and report any issues.--- Support the implementation of departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.--- Has knowledge and understands OSHA, HACCP, IFS, ISO, FDA, and Safety requirements within a food manufacturing environment.--- Understanding and acceptance regarding the expectations of flexibility in hours, tasks, and duties required from the role--- Other Duties as assigned Requirements 1.
