  • Performs daily on generating and preparing medical records for patients, insurance companies,law firms, and other providers office while maintaining organization for completeness andaccuracy for the record.
  • Collaborates with patients, vendors, and internal departments, insurance companies, and otherproviders office to resolve request(s) for medical records or audits.
  • Maintains knowledge of chart control, access and storage in accordance with Fast Pace policiesand procedures while maintaining state and federal regulations.
  • While working with patient records/charts the Medical Records Specialist must remain HIPAAcomplaint at all times.
  • Escalates issues of increased complexity to Supervisor, Quality Assurance, according to thedepartment/company standards.
  • Documents patient communications in the client management services tool according to thedepartment standards.
  • Participates with the team to implement and adhere to policies, procedures, and systems toensure timely processing of medical records in current Practice Management system.
  • Ensures adherence to objectives, operating policies and procedures, and strategic action plansfor achieving goals.
  • Collaborates with Supervisor of Quality Assurance to create new processes and procedures asneeded to improve overall process for handling medical records for patient and insurancecompanies.
  • Communicates and performs necessary follow-up with patients, clinics, and internaldepartments regarding outstanding issues.
  • Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatorycompliance training.
  • Ability to adhere to the Core Values of the Company, of teamwork, communication,empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.Experience Requirements and Preferences:
