Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist
Location: Franklin, TN

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Tennessee Ketamine and Wellness is a specialty medical practice providing ketamine infusion treatment to patients with treatment resistant depression, anxiety and PTSD. TKW provides compassionate and individualized treatment programs to support those with treatment resistant depression and other behavioral diagnoses.

Role and Responsibilities
Welcoming and greeting all patients in person and by telephone
Updating demographics and patient information in the EMR
Answering the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner, using proper telephone etiquette and documentation. Recording phone messages and ensuring the proper party receives them
Responsible for keeping the reception area clean, organized
Facilitates patient flow by notifying the providers of patient's arrival, being aware of delays and communicating with patients and clinical staff
Scheduling and canceling appointments while ensuring that the schedule is balanced for all provider
Collects patient payments at time of service
Prepare and escort patients to exam rooms
Assists provider as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical assistant certification/diploma

Preferred Skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent customer service skills
Computer literacy; typing skills, knowledge of EMRs, MS Word, MS Excel
Ability to work with individuals and groups from diverse populations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and correctly in order to meet deadlines
Good planning and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to effectively manage time to meet deadlines
Maintain and support the mission and goals of the organization
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
