Job Description:
Franklin Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Pre-Op PACU RN
to join our team PRN. Franklin Surgery Center is a fast paced
environment committed to producing the highest quality work and
experience for patients and their families. Our center specializes
in the surgical procedures: orthopedics, spine, podiatry, ENT, and
ophthalmology.
- Assess, instruct and prepare patients prior to surgery
- Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure
readiness for surgical procedure
- Initiate IVs and ensure patients are informed about
procedure
- Assess patients' post-operative condition
- Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress, meeting
discharge criteria
- Log and chart all findings in patient files
- Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes
to physician
- Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies -

Required Skills:
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in
TN
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in Pre and/or
post operative care
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly
preferred
- Must have current BLS certification
- Current ACLS and PALS preferred
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and
management of the surgical patient
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their
implementation
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient
when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to
communicate with staff, patients and physicians.Employment
