Shift:Full-Time Position Summary:Performs laboratory specimen
processing consisting of collecting, receiving, identifying,
labeling,sorting, preparation and internal laboratory distribution
of blood, urine, and other biologicalspecimensIndividual responds
to inquiries concerning patient reports, reference ranges,
specimenrequirements, procedures, time required for tests, and
preparation of specimens to outside labs foranalysisPhlebotomist
are responsible for ensuring laboratory specimens are drawn and
analyzedaccording to established standards of care while using
universal precautions and appropriateprotective equipment as
required to reduce exposure to infection, blood borne pathogens
