Job Description:

The Clinical Operations Specialist is responsible for the agreed-upon clinical activities that help facilitate and improve the day-to-day clinical operations within an office. The position will be multi-functional that focuses on overall clinical and operational coordination and creating efficiencies with standardization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Participates in new hire clinical interviewsFacilitates clinical orientation, skills validation, and competency evaluation for new hiresFacilitate new skills validation and annual competency evaluationIn consultation with office leadership (clinical and operations) monitors progress of plans of correction (CPOC, State survey, regulatory agency action plans, and Compliance Consultant action plans). Also, identifies trends and areas for improvement and will work with office leadership to implement corrective actionsFacilitates and monitors quality improvement activities (including documentation review) and action plans, including data integrity, progress to goals, development of new quality improvement activities and advances QI subcommittee developmentEmbraces and facilitates clinical education on new initiatives and updates to P4In consultation with office leadership (clinical and operations) assist in compliance concerns, reports and issuesIn consultation with office leadership (clinical and operations) assist in grievance concerns, reports and issuesIn consultation with office leadership (clinical and operations) assist in incident report management, trending and analyticsDrives new clinical workforce initiatives, such as novice nurse and skill advancement Assists with start of careInitiates creative work flow process improvementParticipates in office based meetings including staff meeting, quality meetings and red zones.On a quarterly basis completes home visitsMay participate in on callAccommodating/coordinating clinical rotation of nursing studentsActively involved in Vision implementation and optimizationMay serve in the capacity of office administrator, appointed by and reporting to the Governing Body, and responsible for all day-to-day operations of the office. Those duties include ensuring that a clinical manager and operations manager is available during all operating hours; and ensuring that the office employs qualified personnel. In addition, if serving in the role of administrator, ensures that a qualified Alternate Administrator is selected and approved by theGoverning Body to fulfill the role in the absence of the AdministratorPerforms other duties as assigned/necessaryMinimum Requirements:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required in states in which office and patients are locatedMust meet all federal, state and local contract and program requirements in addition to internal certifications and training as requiredMust maintain annual clinical competencyPreferred supervisory experience or experience leading a work-group or small group projectExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated critical thinking skillsExperience in quality management preferred, including root cause analysis training and data analyticsProficient in Microsoft OfficeSelf-initiatorComfortable working independently and multitaskingMaxim Healthcare Services is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
