We care for critically ill patients aged 16 and older, offering advanced therapies such as mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring and continuous renal replacement therapy. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:2 depending upon patient acuity. The CCU is recognized with a Gold Level Beacon Award, reflecting our adherence to the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Healthy Work Environment Framework. Our interdisciplinary team, including 24/7 intensivists and highly trained nursing staff, is committed to providing comprehensive care from admission to discharge. The unit supports a shared governance model, promoting nurse-led involvement in clinical excellence and quality improvement activities.
