Who We Are:Located near the heart of downtown Nashville, Aster Springs Outpatient Nashville, offers exposure outings to nearby eateries and grocery stores, allowing clients to practice recovery principles in real-time with in-the-moment support of a dietician, therapist, and their peers. We also offer weekly themed cooking groups with our registered dietician. Our facility specializes in treating adults of all genders, ages 18 and older, struggling with eating disorders. At Aster Springs Outpatient Nashville, our programs are LGBTQ+-affirming and inclusive of all religious preferences.How You Will Contribute:The Registered Dietitian is directly responsible for the day-to-day nutritional management and meal planning for clients of Nashville Outpatient Center.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide nutritional education to clients/staffAssist with oversight of nutritional content and accuracyDetermine/monitor caloric intake for clientsIndividual sessions with clients 1-2 times/weekLead and schedule food challenge outings with clientsWork with client/staff to coordinate discharge menus/meal plansWork closely with Executive Director on all dietary policy/proceduresLead cooking/nutrition groups weeklyDiscuss/meet with families during family week as neededLead/provide resistance training for clientsDetermine/monitor healthy weight for clientsPerform Dietary Care Specialist duties as neededAssist with preparation of staff/kitchen to be compliant with infection control policies and all accrediting body visitsTake client on grocery store challengesCoordinate discharge planning including identification and coordination of care with outpatient dietitianCollect/review/sign off weekly client menusProvide nutrition information for insurance reviewsISJP123What We Are Seeking:Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major in nutrition/dietetics or a related field; Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration; 1 year clinical experience with eating disorders strongly preferred; 1 plus years of experience in health-care setting, Tennessee Certified Dietitian preferred.Aster Springs provides equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, creed, ancestry, national origin, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, genetic information, service in the military, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.
