the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Oncology RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37203! Job Title:
Oncology Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: -
Med/surg experience Description: Unit information includes 25 beds
and a dedicated staff. Day shift consists of 1 charge RN, 6-8 RNs,
and 1 ACT. Night shift has 1 charge RN and 6-8 RNs. Patient Ratios
are 4:1. Equipment includes mobilab, Welch Allyn vital machine, and
Alaris IV pump. EMR system used is Meditech. Preferred or
nice-to-have skills include experience in oncology and bone marrow
transplant. Typical procedures performed include high dose
chemotherapy, stem cell infusions, blood transfusions, electrolyte
replacements, and central line maintenance. The ideal candidate
should possess strong teamwork skills, a positive outlook, and a
desire for patient interaction. The average length of stay for
patients is 14-21 days. CLABSI prevention is crucial for the
immunocompromised population, highlighting the importance of scrub
the hub and hand hygiene practices. Weekends may require 2-3 shifts
per 4-week schedule period. This position has been created to fill
