Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Nashville, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,843 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37207! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med-Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Med-Surg experience - Ability to prioritize care - Multitasking skills - IV start experience - Basic wound care knowledge - Experience with surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes Description: This position involves providing care in a 34-bed unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1. Staff support includes technicians available on both day and night shifts. There is a unit secretary available during daytime hours. Equipment used includes IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximeters, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology. Documentation is conducted using a Meditech system. Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts per week, including two weekends. Floating policy indicates that contract labor is the first to float, with rotation among multiple staff scheduled. Patient experience is a priority, emphasizing attentive and compassionate care to patients and their family members. Bedside shift report is implemented to facilitate personal connections and involve patients in their plan of care. The unit is recognized for specific certifications and has notable awards and recognition.
