Job Description:

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, a leading full-service hospital in Smyrna, TN, is seeking a dedicated PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse on a PRN basis to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgery. Our hospital offers a supportive environment with cutting-edge facilities, including a modern birthing center and advanced surgical services. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in overseeing the recovery process, ensuring patients receive the best possible care during this vital phase. Monitor patients' post-operative recovery and vital signs, and assess levels of consciousness. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions. Provide post-operative education and support to patients and their families. Ensure all equipment and supplies are prepared and functioning for patient care. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to tailor care plans. Strong knowledge of anesthesia recovery protocols. Excellent patient assessment skills. Ability to manage and monitor patient pain effectively. Strong communication skills for explaining procedures and conditions to patients and families. Ability to respond quickly and effectively to complications. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
