Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Neuro
Step Down Nurse to join our progressive healthcare team in
Nashville, Tennessee. This position involves providing critical
care to patients who have been stepped down from our Neuro ICU, but
who still require intensive monitoring and treatments. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in neurology and critical
care, delivering compassionate, patient-centric care following
surgical procedures or during recovery from severe neurological
conditions. As a Neuro Step Down Nurse at TriStar Centennial, you
will be a pivotal part of the neurology department, working closely
with top healthcare professionals to ensure the continuation of
excellence in patient care. Monitor neurological patients,
recognizing changes in conditions and implementing appropriate
interventions. Provide post-operative care and support to patients
recovering from neurosurgical procedures. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
tailored to individual patient needs. Educate patients and their
families on neurological disorders, treatment plans, and home care
requirements. Maintain accurate patient records and document all
treatment and care activities. Strong knowledge of neurology and
neurological disorders Excellent patient assessment and critical
thinking skills Ability to work efficiently in a high-stress
environment Proficiency in using medical software for patient care
documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of Tennessee Certification in Neurological Care (CNRN)
preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certification
