ASAP About the Position Job Title: TRAVEL - RN - MED SURG
City/State: Nashville, Tennessee Shift: 07:00-19:00, Days Start
Date: 01/19/2026 Job Description: The RN in Med Surg will perform
basic patient assessments and provide general care and maintenance.
Patients may require dialysis or PCA pumps. Only Heparin drips are
administered. The role includes post-op procedures such as
amputations, ostomy care, drains, chest tubes, and wound vacs.
Responsibilities: Perform bedside shift reports and safety checks
every 1-2 hours. Focus on patient listening and responsiveness.
Adhere to 100% medication scanning guidelines, including controlled
substances. Participate in HAI and fall prevention measures.
Requirements: COVID Vaccine Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Proficiency
in basic patient care equipment and documentation systems such as
Meditech. Must float over core staff and complete four weekend
shifts in a four-week period. Requirements Required for Onboarding
