TriStar Centennial Medical Center, located in the vibrant heart
of Nashville, Tennessee, seeks a dedicated per diem Operating Room
Nurse to join our esteemed Sarah Cannon team. This position demands
a highly skilled nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and
is committed to providing top-tier patient care in surgical
settings. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will work collaboratively
with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure surgical
procedures are executed smoothly and safely. Prepare operating
rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies
are available and sterile. Assist surgeons during operations,
anticipating their needs to promote efficient procedure workflows.
Monitor patient vital signs and maintain a sterile environment to
prevent infection. Administer and manage patient medication as
prescribed. Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess,
plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Provide
post-operative care, including wound care and pain management.
Educate patients and their families on postoperative home care
needs. Strong clinical skills in a surgical environment Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Ability to operate and
monitor surgical equipment Keen attention to detail Strong
organizational and multitasking skills Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered
Nurse license in the state of Tennessee or compact state Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification preferred Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR)
certification is desirable
