Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Nashville, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,164 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37203! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT Description: This position involves caring for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients. The unit specializes in advanced cardiac surgeries and post-operative care. Intensivists are assigned to the unit 24/7. There is a strong team of nurses with an emphasis on excellent teamwork. The unit is equipped with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors and Hill-Rom beds. Advanced procedures performed include central line insertion, Swan insertion, and intubations. Nurses will have the opportunity to work with postoperative devices such as ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS. A free-floating charge nurse will be available to assist staff. Student Nurse Externs will also be present to assist nurses with technical duties. The staffing also includes unit secretaries and administrative care technicians on weekdays during the day shift. The patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:2, with 1:1 ratios for specific device patients. The schedule requires working two weekends per month and participation in holiday rotations.
