Job Description:

Williamson Health and Wellness Center is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist for our Out-Patient Department to enhance our community-centric healthcare services. This role involves collecting and processing biological specimens, ensuring accurate data collection, and maintaining stringent safety and hygiene standards in line with our commitment to innovative care tailored for the Williamson, WV community. Collect blood samples from patients following established procedures and techniques. Ensure proper patient identification and label samples accurately. Maintain phlebotomy area and equipment clean, sanitized, and orderly. Adhere to all safety protocols including handling and disposal of sharps. Process and prepare specimens for testing or transportation. Track and manage inventory of supplies to ensure availability. Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and team members. Proficient in various phlebotomy techniques (venipuncture, capillary puncture). Ability to handle biological specimens safely. Strong organizational and communication skills. Competence in using clinical information systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Certification from a nationally recognized phlebotomy program (e.g., ASCP, NPA). CPR/BLS certification.
