Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Dickson, TN Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $1,665 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Dickson, Tennessee, 37055! ID: 76048041 Shift: 19:00-07:00 Description: HAVE CHARGE Horizon Medical , Highway 70 EUnit Name: Women s InformationUnit Specifics: Number of Beds : LDRP 9 beds, OBED 1 bed, NICU 4 beds, 1 OR suite Patient Ratios : 1:1 active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care 1:3,newborns 1:1 until stable, NICU 1:3 intermediate care, but 2 NICU nurses must be in the unit if there are Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : no techs or unit secretaries Type of equipment: CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps Documentation system: Meditech and CPN Scheduling requirements: FT 3 shifts per wk., rotating weekend and holidays, PRN s to complete Floating policy: regular staff, if scheduled and not needed on the unit, are expected to float anywhere within the facility as needed, some staff are cross trained to float between LDRP & NICU Patient Experience requirements: daily rounding on all patients, SAFETY roundingHospital Specifics- Certifications: Joint Commission, Stoke Center, Level II Trauma, Level II NICUHiring profileRequested Skill have: Labor and delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment.Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies preferred.Advanced skills needed: Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)Procedures performed on , circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum or forceps assisted deliveriesCertifications Required: BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring trainingDress Code: (Required uniform) Pink and/or brown scrubs required per the infant security policy for the unitUnit Guidelines/ attach unit specific policies and guidelines. Policies and procedures are available in Policy Stat.Awards/ include anything that you would like prospective candidates to be aware of, such as, links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards. Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. The unit has 6 seasoned, very experienced RN s that have approx. 30 years experience each.They are great resources and preceptors. There are several other nurses who have been here in the 7-10 year range that are also very experienced and competent. The unit functions a great team and are very willing to help. Because this is a LDRP unit, it is a great way to gain experience for labor, delivery, post-partum, and neonate care. General Comments No. of Positions: 1/1.
