Job Description:
Ascension seeks a dedicated Nurse Periop Program to join our
faith-based healthcare organization. This role is pivotal in
enhancing the patient experience in our perioperative environment,
applying innovative practices to ensure safe, effective, and
compassionate care. The Nurse Periop Program will work within our
dynamic network of hospitals and clinics, influencing perioperative
policies and overseeing the integration of new technologies and
procedures to advance patient outcomes in surgical settings.
Develop, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care
policies and procedures. Collaborate with surgical teams to
integrate new technologies and techniques that improve patient
outcomes. Provide clinical guidance and education to perioperative
staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion. Monitor
compliance with national safety and health regulations in the
perioperative environment. Participate in research and quality
improvement initiatives to develop best practices in perioperative
care. Strong clinical skills in a surgical or perioperative setting
Excellent leadership and communication abilities Proficiency in
using healthcare technology and electronic health record systems
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving
environment Knowledge of current perioperative care procedures and
best practices Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of employment. Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR)
preferred.
