We are seeking a Waxing Specialist who takes pride in their craft and is passionate about helping guests Feel Well and confident in their own skin. At The Westin Nashville, this role is about more than providing services. It’s about creating a calm, respectful, and caring experience from start to finish. You will deliver professional hair removal services with attention to detail, exceptional hygiene standards, and a reassuring presence that helps every guest feel comfortable, cared for, and at ease. Essential Functions: Perform professional waxing services for face and body, including brows, lip, chin, underarm, arms, legs, bikini, and Brazilian. Conduct thorough guest consultations to access skin type, sensitivities, and contraindications. Educate guest on pre- and post- waxing care to ensure optimal results and skin health. Educate clients on the benefits of treatments, proper skincare techniques, and product usage. Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and hygiene in accordance with state regulations and spa protocols. Create a calm, discreet, and respectful environment for all guests. Maintain clean, organized treatment rooms and restock supplies as needed Accurately document guest services, notes, and product recommendations. Collaborate with spa leadership and team members to support daily operations and overall guest satisfaction. Uphold the spa's brand standards, service rituals, and professional appearance guidelines. Meet or exceed retail sales goals by recommending and selling appropriate skincare products. Other Tasks: Assist with inventory management and restocking of treatment supplies and retail products. Participate in marketing and promotional events as needed. Assist with front desk duties, such as answering phones and scheduling appointments, if required. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Attend team meetings and training sessions. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Core Competencies: Technical Skills: Proficient in performing a wide range of aesthetic treatments (as applicable based on experience and training). Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and common skin conditions. Understanding of product ingredients and their effects on the skin. Client Focus: Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with clients and gains their trust and respect. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Effectively listens to clients and addresses their concerns. Explains treatments and product information in an understandable manner. Sales and Persuasion: Ability to confidently recommend and sell retail products and treatment packages to clients. Understands client needs and presents solutions that align with those needs. Attention to Detail: Thorough and accurate when performing treatments and documenting client information. Pays close attention to hygiene and sanitation protocols. Professionalism: Maintains a professional appearance, demeanor, and ethical conduct at all times. Represents the company positively. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient workflow. Teamwork: Works collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals. Qualifications: Valid state license in Esthetics or Cosmetology Minimum of 3 year of professional waxing experience preferred Proficiency in full-body waxing, including Brazilians waxing Strong knowledge of skin health, contraindications, and sanitation practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain professionalism discretion, and guest comfort at all times. Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing and sitting may be required. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are necessary for performing treatments. Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity to assess skin conditions. Exposure to various skincare products and chemicals (with proper safety precautions). The company also conducts post-offer employment verifications, motor vehicle, and criminal background checks.
