healthcare professionals across nearly 50 skilled nursing and
long-term care centers in five states. You're a strategic partner,
advising internal stakeholders and ensuring seamless integration
with our HR systems.ResponsibilitiesHere's how you'll make a real
impact:
- Achieve 100% on-time and accurate payroll processing across all
operating companies (weekly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle)
consistently. This means no missed paydays, no errors, and complete
peace of mind for our employees.
- Reduce payroll-related errors and discrepancies within the
first year. You'll implement robust audit practices and data
analysis to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Successfully optimize UKG system functionalities related to
payroll by collaborating closely with the HRIS Team. You'll
leverage your deep UKG expertise to maximize efficiency and
compliance.
- Overhaul the payroll tax administration, reducing dependence on
external vendors. You'll ensure a seamless and fully compliant
payroll tax effort, returning the payroll tax function to the
Diversicare payroll team and reducing our reliance on an external
vendor.
- Maintain a 100% compliance rate with all federal, state, and
local tax regulations and garnishment laws related to payroll.
You'll stay abreast of evolving regulations and ensure our
processes are always up-to-date.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing payroll team, resulting in
a quantifiable improvement in team performance metrics (e.g.,
efficiency, accuracy, responsiveness). You'll invest in your team's
growth and development, fostering a culture of collaboration and
continuous improvement.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
(HR, Finance, Operations) and external vendors, resulting in
improved communication, collaboration and service delivery. You
will be a trusted advisor and effective
communicator.QualificationsTo excel in this role, you'll need:
- Proven success in leading and managing multi-state payroll
operations for organizations with a complex payroll structure.
- Deep expertise in UKG Pro and UKG Dimensions, including
implementation, configuration, and optimization.
- A strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax
regulations, garnishment laws, and other relevant compliance
requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to
build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder
management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen
attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration, or a related field.
- CCP certification (preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive payroll management
