Job Description:

Very well established, stable company, with a national presence, this Franklin, TN, operation is looking to hire a Jr. Systems Engineer who is interested in continuing their career progression.

The following is a list of the main essential duties and responsibilities of the position:

?Provide liaison communications between the Systems Engineering staff and the help desk staff. This will involve engaging both of these groups, as well as the user community, to build projects based on necessary issues revolving around desktop applications and support.

?Support client/server based applications and serve as a second tier level of support for the help desk staff.

?Daily work will comprise of both help desk and system engineering duties.

?Document and track issues utilizing internal ticketing system to ensure timely resolution and documentation for future references.

?Responsible for the project management of assignments that fall within the scope of this position.

?Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Information Systems department.

?Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager of Systems Engineering.

?Obtain certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) to help attain the position as Systems Engineer as part of future growth.

Qualifications:

?A couple of years of technical support experience required.

?Solid familiarity with Active Directory, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and MS Office is desired.

?N+ and current Microsoft Certified Professional (or equivalent certifications) highly desired.

?Functional experience in a VMWare environment a big plus.

Preferred:

?Applicable Exchange experience.

?Microsoft SCCM orientation.

?Citrix XenApp experience a plus.

?Ideal candidate will have functional networking experience with VLANs and switch based routing.
