Database Administrator

The Database Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining the our client database environments, including providing high security of protected health information, monitoring and investigating issues with production applications, evaluating and identifying operational issues within the databases. The DBA will be responsible for working on tickets and monitoring of the database environment and completing user requests for access, change requests, scripts and responding to performance issues. The DBA will review database level code and ensure adherence to DBA standards and best practices. The DBA will be responsible for participating in the 24x7shift schedule. Other duties will be determined as necessary.


Technical

• 
  
• 6+ years of experience with PostgreSQL 9.x +
  
• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL Azure
  
• 6+ years of experience with Oracle 12c+
  
• 6+ years of experience with SQL Server
  
• Strong understanding of DBA concepts
  
• PL/SQL, PSQL, Shell and TSQL (scripting, stored procedures, triggers, query development)
  
• Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL Server installation and configuration
  
• HA/DR Strategy and Support
  
• Performance Tuning, SHOWPLAN, Query Tuning/Analysis
  
• Troubleshooting and RCA experience, Incident Management
  
• Knowledge and Experience with Best Practices and Standards
  
• ITIL: Change Management Process and Procedures
  
• SQL monitoring tools (Idera, SW DPA, SCOM, Zabbix, SQL Sentry)
  
• Experience with ETL, OLAP, OLTP
  
• Security and User Management
  
• Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery Procedures
  
• Standardized Database Maintenance
  
• Requests including (Installs, Performance Analysis, Security Management, Index Maintenance, Troubleshooting)
  
• Linux/UNIX and Windows
