Job Description:
Title: Transit Stop Supervisor Position Purpose The Transit Stop
Supervisor provides operational and technical leadership for all
transit stops and associated amenities owned and operated by WeGo
Public Transit. This position is responsible for supervising field
operations, coordinating installations and modifications, managing
transit stop data and asset records, and ensuring all stops are
maintained in a safe, clean, accessible, and state-of-good-repair
condition in accordance with WeGo Transit Stop Guidelines and ADA
requirements. The Transit Stop Supervisor serves as the primary
point of coordination for transit stop activities, including
service changes, asset tracking, customer complaints, signage
production, and advertising media. This role directly supervises
union personnel, manages work assignments, and ensures accurate
documentation and performance tracking through asset and work
management systems. Essential Job Functions Transit Stop Operations
& Field Supervision Supervise daily operations related to transit
stops and associated amenities, ensuring compliance with agency
standards for safety, cleanliness, accessibility, and customer
experience. Coordinate and oversee the installation, modification,
repair, and removal of transit stop amenities, including shelters,
benches, trash receptacles, signage, decals, and advertising media.
Develop daily and weekly work assignments and schedules for field
crews based on operational priorities. Conduct routine inspections
and condition assessments to identify deficiencies, safety hazards,
and state-of-good-repair needs. Ensure preventive maintenance and
corrective repairs are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
Coordinate with contractors, utilities, property owners, and
government agencies to support transit stop projects and
improvements. Ensure all work complies with ADA requirements,
safety regulations, and WeGo Transit Stop Guidelines. Transit Stop
Sign Shop & Signage Operations Oversee and coordinate operations of
the Transit Stop Sign Shop. Update signage and decal processes
related to service changes, construction activity, and detours.
Print, laminate, and prepare bus stop decals for field
installation. Monitor sign shop inventory, including signposts,
hardware, and materials. Data, Asset Management & GIS Coordination
Oversee and manage transit stop data within EAM, Esri/GIS, and
agency asset and work management platforms, ensuring accurate
recordkeeping, system coordination, and reliable data to support
service planning, maintenance activities, performance tracking, and
compliance requirements. Ensure accurate cataloging of all transit
stop amenities through field data collection and quality assurance
checks. Maintain accurate records for preventive maintenance,
service requests, resident requests, expenditures, and work in
progress. Maintain GIS accuracy for transit stop assets, including
WeGo Bus Stop New Sign Installation and NMTA Bus Stop Asset
dashboards. Utilize asset management software to develop, schedule,
and track preventive maintenance activities. Compile and report
monthly operational data, performance metrics, and statistics. Act
as liaison with internal departments to ensure timely communication
and execution of transit stop changes. Customer Complaints, ADA &
Compliance Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to
transit stops, including Trapeze COM issues. Assist with
implementation and tracking of the ADA Transition Plan as it
relates to transit stops. Track ADA-compliant stops and maintain
accurate ADA records within EAM and Esri/GIS and related systems.
Support audits, reporting, and documentation related to ADA
compliance and accessibility improvements. Supervision, Labor
Relations & Safety Supervise and direct assigned union, ensuring
work assignments are completed safely, efficiently, and on
schedule. Monitor employee performance, attendance, and
productivity. Lead, train, coach, and mentor employees in a
positive and professional manner. Promote and enforce safe work
practices and a safety-first culture. Address performance issues
and initiate disciplinary action in accordance with agency policies
and collective bargaining agreements. Handle Step 1 grievances and
maintain communication with union representatives, escalating
issues as required. Ensure compliance with labor agreements, agency
policies, and equal employment opportunity requirements. Performs

Physical Requirements (With or without reasonable accommodation)
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, lift up to 50 lbs., carry up to
35 lbs., and perform repetitive motions. Ability to clearly see,
hear, speak, and communicate effectively. Ability to operate
standard office and field equipment, including computers, phones,
tablets, printers, and inspection tools. Other Requirements Ability

documents, drawings, specifications, and procedures. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office and asset/work management systems. Ability to
maintain confidentiality and effective working relationships across
all levels of the organization. Must possess a valid Tennessee
Driver’s License. Recommended Preparation for Employment Education:
Technical, GIS, or supervisory training preferred, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience , including experience with
GIS applications, transit asset management, ADA accessibility
requirements, safety and compliance programs, and supervisory
practices within a public-sector or unionized workforce.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in transit stop
operations, asset coordination, facilities maintenance, or similar
operational or infrastructure-related work . At least two (2) years
of experience supervising staff, preferably within a unionized or
public-sector environment, or comparable leadership experience .
Experience using asset management systems, GIS platforms, inventory
control systems, work order tracking tools, or similar enterprise
or operational systems . Working knowledge of ADA requirements,
applicable safety regulations, and customer service standards, or
experience applying comparable accessibility and compliance
requirements . Experience coordinating service changes, capital or
operational projects, and working collaboratively across
departments or with external stakeholders.
