Responsible for the daily management of shift production for the
equipment assembly area. May supervise up to 35 or more employees.
Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily production activities of
plastic thermoforming machines, injection molding machines and
extruders to maximize operating efficiency Inventory accuracy;
ensure raw material usage is properly recorded –
daily/monthly/yearly counts, including managing high-dollar
serialized items. Manage labor costs efficiently to operate with
prescribed overtime guidelines. Manage daily safety and
housekeeping activities. Responsible for meeting production control
schedules. Administrative: timecard completion, production
paperwork, employee recordkeeping, and associated labor agreement
compliance. Miscellaneous projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities Understand scope of manufacturing
business operations and exhibit necessary leadership, people
management and functional skills. Strong interpersonal and
collaboration skills. Able to read and understand work instructions
and blueprints to teach and train production associates on assembly
procedures Able to meet a variety of ever-changing production
variables Computer literate with Excel and Word. MRP software (JDE
Enterprise One) experience is a plus Education and Experience
Bachelor Degree preferred. Comparable experience will be
considered. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in production
supervision. Previous work experience with a union facility is a
plus. Compensation details: 60000-70000 Yearly Salary
