Job Description:

Staffmark is hiring a creative, detail-oriented Product Coordinator for a direct hire position in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have great communication and organizational skills, with a passion for leadership, and prior knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures. Title: Product CoordinatorType: Direct hire / Full-timeShift: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Pay rate: $22/hour Location: 100 Oaks area / NashvilleResponsibilities of the Product Coordinator include: Creative:* Be able to effectively communicate and keep designers on task.* Provide designers with feedback from buyers or senior team members concerning new product and artwork changes. * Provide, track, and store all signed approvals on production artwork. * Assist with photoshoot, catalog editing/checking, coordinating with printers, showroom & sales coordination as needed,* Communicate with designers the vision of the product and technical edits to the labeling, POPs, technical drawings, and warning labels,Product Development:* Request necessary information from various team members to complete model line (i.e.: item numbers, upcs, sales forecasts, pantone numbers, part numbers, key dates, testing requirements, pricing, and product details.) * Strategically source concepted designs with overseas vendors, sending clarifying specs, target price points, MOQs, and timelines. Understand the product vision in order to effectively communicate to the suppliers. * Generate item descriptions for new products and make sure they match the item set up in NetSuite. * Work with design team to request and finalize POP and warning label art for production. Be able to communicate regulatory artwork changes needed. Set due dates. * Assist in updating the model line as development evolves- ensure accuracy and cross check details in NetSuite. Communicating any changes to the model line or product with team members. * Update the model line, track sample development, and make sure vendors are on time with production. * Initiate conversations with the Creative Manager and VP of Operations in order to make strategic decisions on final product specs, product tweaks, artwork, regulatory, and operational functions to make sure team does not miss important deadlines. * Pay close attention to detail, be bold in meeting timelines and keeping internal team members on track and be aware and up to date on the status of each product in development.* Drive internal departments (sales, operations, design) and suppliers to keep to the schedule to ensure the model line is thorough and complete.Sampling:* Unpack, organize, label, and store samples * Check specifications to ensure accuracy of prototype samples and provide comments to Creative Manager. * Promptly coordinate internally to get mockup samples created or supplier samples in time for sales presentations, photoshoots, account/custom deadlines. * Coordinate testing with QC lab to determine wick, carton/partition selection and log burn test data.* Pack and ship samples. Generate UPS shipping labels. Netsuite:* Assist with entering all necessary data into the model line as needed. This includes monitoring item setup, BOMS, raw material images, costing, and PO's to make sure product is detailed accurately.Production:Production: * Work with production designer and regulatory department to request and finalize POP and warning label artwork for production. Ensure delivery to vendors or purchasing department. * Communicate with designers the vision of the product and technical edits to the labeling, POPs, technical drawings, and warning labels. * Check specifications to ensure accuracy of prototype samples, sales PP samples, and provide comments to factories on time. Initiate conversations with Creative Manager to talk through production issues/challenges. * Assist with all raw material regulatory compliance. Work with operations to ensure all documentation is obtained from overseas vendors.Knowledge and skills needed: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred * Interest in consumer goods and product development * 2-3 years of experience with a consumer product company or PD experience preferred * Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload in a deadline driven environment * Professional verbal and written communication.
