Job Description:HOURS: M-F (8a-5p)Must be able to interview this week and start on 11/30POSITION SUMMARYThe Claims Analyst will be engaged in collections, customer service, billing and administrative support. Claims Analysts will primarily be responsible for reviewing outstanding hospital and physician accounts for resolution.The claims analysts will be responsible for making contact with the patient or insurance for payment, preparing and submitting appeals, preparing and correcting claim errors for payer submission or support of inventory via cash posting.Qualifications:* High School Diploma Required* Healthcare operations experience a plus* Skills must include proficiency in: * Microsoft Word and--Excel* 10-key touch* Automated Business Office systems* Communication: verbal and written* Time Management, planning, and organizing* Strong analytical and tactical execution* Must thrive in a team environment and able to build collaborative relationshipsResponsibilities: * Contacts responsible party for claim payment* Ability to evaluate complex account issues for resolution * Work with various payers to establish next action needed for account resolution* Prepare and forward claim appeal letters with supporting documentation for denial overturn* Follow prepared client guide to determine appropriate next steps on outstanding balance* Analyze account balance and perform proper follow up to maximize reimbursement* Review accounts recommended for write-off to ensure accounts have aged as determined by corporate/guidelines * Establish working relationships with individuals at insurance companies * Manage time in such a way to meet individual and team goals for productivity, quality and GAP time on a daily basis* Ability to work independently and prioritize workload according to project goals and objectives* Work diligently with team spirit and promotion of positive work ethic and environment in mind* Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement" * Attend Privacy and Security Training as required by the HIPPA Awareness Program and comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures to assure sensitive or confidential information is protected in accordance with the HIPPA rules and regulations.* Other duties as assigned.
