Build What MattersAt Lee Company, our mission is to create a workplace where all employees can thrive - professionally and personally.We take the time to invest in our employees, so they can build what matters most to them: a career they love, financial security, a healthy life, the sense of belonging or a way to give back to the community.If you want competitive pay and benefits, plus an opportunity to realize your dreams and reach your full potential, join our winning team and start building what matters to you.Check out our careers page: of Job: To act as the estimator for all assigned electrical estimating group projects by compiling information and presenting a finished product for the team's review and approval.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Gather information and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, material, equipment, and labor estimates involved in assigned projectsPerform takeoff for job estimates (counting all parts and pieces required to build the job)Review data to determine material and labor requirements and develops itemized listsEnsure accuracy of pricing for all those parts and pieces from vendors and subcontractorsEstimate, upon computing cost factors, items for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectivenessParticipate in meeting with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issuesRevise estimates as requestedEnter project plans and specifications into company's File Transfer Protocol (FTP) siteAbility to handle stress and job demandsCooperatively work with othersEducation and ExperienceAssociates degree or 2-year technical degree program preferredBachelor's degree in Management or Construction preferred5 or more years of experience as a construction cost estimator requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel and Power Point with the ability to be trained in use of the Company-specific applications and softwareAccubid Enterprise experience a plusSkills and Abilities:Good written and verbal communication skillsGood problem-solving ability and analytical skillsAbility to plan strategically, set targeted goals and implement steps to reach established goalsGood decision-making skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsProfessional demeanorAbility to function effectively in stressful and demanding situationsGood team development and mentoring skillsPhysical Demands/Working Conditions:The physical activities described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
