Job Description:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certified Pharmacy Tech
  • Functional understanding of CIPS and the fulfillment process.
  • 1-year minimum pharmacy services and customer support experience
  • Telephonic custom support experience required.
  • Must have experience and a desire to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to verbalize an understanding of basic Project Management.
  • Must have proven ability to organize tasks and work independently on projects of varying complexity.
  • Must demonstrate ability to articulate points and write technically.
  • Must be comfortable developing and providing training to both groups and individuals.

Duties include:

  • Develop and maintain a functional understanding of all software applications being used in pharmacy services.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day support and client on boarding, start-up and implementation for all pharmacy application services.
  • Serve as Lead for all application testing and enhancements.
  • Maintain data dictionary for all software utilized by the organization.
  • Act as a focal point for all queries and handle ad-hoc client requests.
  • Proactively work with Operations, Pharmacist, Order Entry, Fulfillment, Shipping and Sales to facilitate excellent customer service via software applications.
  • Document procedures, workflows, tip sheets, and develop efficient work practices.
  • Facilitate the appropriate setup in the pharmacy operations system of client specific information to ensure fluid fulfillment and delivery of ordered medications for each client and facility.
  • Ensure company standards and procedures are followed.
  • Ability to customize reporting, tailored to various software applications.
  • Work with the team to ensure a consistent standardized service is provided to all clients.
  • Assist with implementing systems and process flows within the team to improve efficiency and client service.
  • Work to establish continuous development, automation and reporting, internally and externally to facilitate ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Perform various Order Entry and Fulfillment tasks, as needed and complete other duties as assigned.

Language Skills:

Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral English communication and to communicate effectively with customers, employees and vendors.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
  • May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
