Community Health Systems ("CHSPSC, LLC") is one of the leading
operators of general acute care hospitals. The organization's
affiliates own, operate, or lease more than 100 hospitals in 20
states, with an aggregate of approximately 21,000 licensed beds.
The consolidated organization owns and leases community hospitals
that offer quality, cost-effective healthcare including a range of
inpatient medical and surgical services, outpatient treatment and
skilled nursing care. In over 60 percent of the markets served,
CHS-affiliated hospitals are the sole provider of healthcare
services. CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Senior Security Engineer for its
Franklin, TN, headquarters' Security team.
The Senior Security Engineering Role is responsible for
protection of the organization's information systems, patient data,
and intellectual property by performing the following tasks:
* Designing, selecting, testing, and implementing security tools
to protect operating systems, networks, and databases * Password
auditing, network based and Web application based vulnerability
scanning, virus management, and intrusion detection * Conducting
risk audits and assessments, providing recommendations for
application design * Analyzing systems and access logs to
select/implement tools for increased security * Planning for
security backup and system disaster recovery
As a senior, the candidate should be able to apply advanced
knowledge of job areas typically obtained through advanced
education and work experience.
Required Education: Bachelors Degree
Required Experience: 5-7 years
Responsibilities may include: tech lead for projects /
processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching
and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. Problems faced
are difficult and sometimes complex.
