Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Retrieve, research, process and resolve all exceptions on a daily basis. These cases are thoroughly researched using all available resources to resolve each case with 100% accuracy.- Maintain direct communication in order to ensure that issues are identified, tracked and resolved.- Develop solid relationships with customer and communicate directly with the project lead and appropriate agencies to arrive at the final resolutions as necessary.- Review and verify cases resolved by analysts for efficient and accurate resolutions.- Act as subject matter expert for exception processing on the project.- Work closely with project management, providing leadership and guidance, and ensuring processes and procedures for exception resolution are followed and exceptions are processed with 100% accuracy.- Suggest areas for improvement for internal processes.- Compile the MAXIMUS monthly project exception workload inventory report.- Conduct the investigation of automated system exceptions and resolve them through the use of project-designated systems.- Participate, upon mastering each exception type, in the validation of the exception processing of other business analysts.- Interface with beneficiaries as necessary and other government agencies' personnel.- Maintain an accurate record of all documentation associated with each case, track inventory of all items worked and contribute to project deliverables as required.- Assist with the coordination of meetings both internally and with the customer and participate as necessary.- When assigned, provide meeting minutes within the required timeframe.- Assist with training of entry level personnel on specific error resolution types.- Act as the timecard approver for MAXIMUS personnel on the contract.Minimum Requirements:- High School diploma or equivalent or Associate degree with 1.5 - 4 years of experience.- Additional training or education in area of specialization.- Works on a variety of assignments requiring considerable judgement and initiative.- As a skilled and experienced specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways.- Able to draft or modify training materials and procedural documentation accurately.- Skilled in handling challenging communications with external contacts for escalated matters.- Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.- Serves as facilitator and team leader, allocating work and providing guidance and training to others in field of specialization.- Perform quality assurance on work of others in team.
