As a Senior C# .Net Engineer, you will contribute to the development and automation of analytic applications that support Optums Payer Decision Intelligence. You'll work closely with business and technology leaders to develop innovative analytic solutions, migrate existing applications into the cloud, and support the rule and modeling teams within the department.

Primary Responsibilities: Develop software programs and components using VB.NET, C#, SQL, Oracle and other software development tools and technologies per assigned tasks Debug, test, and troubleshoot written software programs and components Study training materials on .NET development, programming standards, application architecture, business processes, and functional areas Adapt to new programming languages, methodologies, platforms and frameworks to support the needs of the future projects Adhere to Agile software development methodology Identify data abnormalities that are or could have the ability to impact rule development and performance Develop and maintain Policy and Procedure documents for each new rule/project and maintenance for existing documents as the logic changes Monitor monthly/weekly data loads and kick off all production Macros/Scrapes Weekly management reports outlining work completed and issues encountered Monthly analysis of rule performance, Identifications Highly motivated, passionate, team-player

Required Qualifications: 3+ years C# or 3+ years combination .NET and C# application development 3+ Professional IT experience in a business or corporate setting 3+ years of SQL experience 3+ years of Oracle experience 6 months of cloud experience Experience with Python or Scala (academic/professional or corporate experience) Experience communication thru multiple mediums to business areas, colleagues, clients and senior management Process Automation and/or Process Improvement experience Experience working within a project plan, scheduled task requirements within assigned deadlines Experience working within a fast-paced environment Telecommute is available for this role If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and prior Health care experience Experience with .NET technologies including VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Web and Web/WCF Services Proven analytical and problem solving skills, highly motivated, passionate, team-player Good written and oral communications skills and ability to work with others in a fast paced environment in order to meet the deadlines Strong understanding of software development methodologies and principles to perform assigned development tasks using established standards and procedures without any supervision

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
