Role: IT Application Support

Location: Franklin, TN (Remote)

Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Extendable)





The IT Specialist, Application Support role delivers quality application support services to our business. This support entails responding quickly to our application related incidents, clarifying and recreating reported issues, identifying and verifying potential bugs, and documenting the findings for resolution by development staff. Other responsibilities include performing a routine checklist, UAM, monitoring key services, and weekly status meetings and reporting to management. In all cases, the key responsibility of this position is to take ownership of the reported issues, maintain the continuity of support to the users, and keep zero application downtime. Most of the required responsibilities associated with this position are driven by Cherwell standard incident and change management tool.



ACTIVITIES:

Provide a quality application support to the business

Resolution of assigned incident tickets

Proactive monitoring of incoming incident tickets and, where appropriate, self-assignment of tickets

Liaison with business partners and software vendor to resolve their application related issues, problems and requests

Own, and manage to completion, assigned tasks and projects

Understand expectations (SLA's) that were set with business and clients and recognize when issues/events may need escalation

Communicate clearly both verbally and in written form



REQUIRED:

At least 2 years of experience working in a customer service-oriented framework

At least 2 years of experience with IT help desk practices and incident management

Microsoft Office Experience

Moderate knowledge of application support discipline

Troubleshooting both hardware and software-based issues

Knowledge of general IT process and audit mechanisms

Tactical Planning

IT Compliance Principles

Ability to work within a project scope and timeline
