Join the Berry Global team as an Assistant Press Operator in Nashville, TN.

As an Assistant Press Operator, you will assist in the set-up and operation of the press while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, achieving maximum press efficiency and production quality. You will be expected to work closely with a Press Operator to ensure customer quality expectations are being achieved.

Qualifications




High school diploma or GED


Previous manufacturing experience (preferred)


Ability to distinguish between colors


Ability to work occasional overtime, as needed


Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude


Positive attitude and solid work ethic


Capacity to work in a team environment


Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts (4:30 PM - 5:00 AM with weekly overtime).




Responsibilities




Assist in the daily set-up and operation of the press


Accurately test key print properties


Understand Quality Windows and accurate data entry


Ensure all finished products are within customer specifications


Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills


Assist maintenance whenever needed


Read and interpret Job Discrete Routing Sheets


Identify raw materials by part numbers


Understand the operations and functions of press control panels, usage of MSDS sheets, and the definition of SOC sheets and how to complete them properly


Ensure proper housekeeping of the press and adjacent areas


Implement and follow proper solvent, ink, and hazardous waste handling procedures


Effectively and professionally communicate and interact with all people in the work environment


Perform other duties as assigned
