POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for competitively sourcing Packaging and Chemical program by utilizing the RFP process and supplier agreements, ensuring uninterrupted supply of product. Develop agreements that accurately reflect the terms negotiated. Manages the agreement through regular communication with suppliers to ensure all aspects of the agreement are being executed: cost, quality and inventory. Responsible for developing commodity risk management strategy for relevant products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
May perform any or all of the following duties:
Leads and provides coaching, guidance and development advice to a staff of one or more direct reports
Completes the documented RFP process across Packaging categories and products, obtains and analyzes competitive bids from suppliers, conducts negotiations on pricing, manufacturing capacity, quality compliance, inventory levels to be maintained and product lead times for assigned categories. Makes recommendation based on supplier best meeting all attributes. Pricing typically developed with formula cost models.
Develops agreements that are typically for key categories and products, documenting negotiated terms from the solicitation process. Manages the process of fully executing agreement in timely fashion.
Ensures suppliers submit accurate and timely price changes in accordance with agreements and established pricing formulas, and that pricing is communicated accurately and timely to distribution partners. Ensures suppliers production meets the need of the company.
Develops partnerships with applicable supplier that creates the highest level of collaboration and performance against delivery dates, technical problems, material deviations, damage claims, etc. Works closely with Quality Control, Culinary Innovation, and Inventory Management to overcome obstacles.
Support Marketing initiatives that include limited time offers (LTOs) and new menu offerings by identifying suppliers, forecasting needs, and managing supplier inventory. Makes recommendations that ensures success in executing the LTO.
Lead the development of procurement strategies including requirements planning, alternate sourcing, timing of purchasing, inventory level adjustments etc.
Develops strategy for responsible commodities, communicating approved positions and provides routine position variance reporting. Ensures established positions are reflected accurately in pricing
Leads the establishment of a company-wide food cost budget for various products. Evaluates and analyzes previous contracts, performs market research to establish pricing trends, and investigates market conditions.
Leads and participates in company meetings, webinars and conference calls. Completes analytical evaluations of suppliers and products and present the results to management.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES
Minimum nine (9) years of experience that demonstrates growth and a commanding knowledge of Supply Chain Management, a majority of which has been managing packaging
Minimum of three (3) years managing staff members
BA/BS Degree or equivalent certification in supply chain management strongly preferred
Must have detailed knowledge of relevant commodity markets and/or financial risk management tools
Must display outstanding leadership skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally
Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and able to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
Must be able to analyze critical factors such as cost, quality, and capacity during negotiations. Proficient to advanced abilities in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information.

- Corporate Office fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Constant interaction with internal and external partners by phone and/or electronic communications
Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
Travels as needed approximately twenty five (25)%
