We are looking for a talented Computer Systems and Database Analyst to manage and maintain our database infrastructure as part of the IT Operations organization. The Database Administrator position can be 100% remote.Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day database operations and support in an AWS environment (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora)
• Manage all aspects of company databases: design, installation, security, analyzing, monitoring, patching, archiving, optimization, and disaster recovery
• Ensure database availability based on industry best practices
• Upgrade and migrate databases
• Collaborate with other engineers and business units for data requests, changes, and improvements
• Troubleshoot database connectivity
• Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of production database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • 4+ years of experience with AWS RDS
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Linux systems
  • Familiarity with core AWS concepts as they relate to databases (security groups, S3, network access)
  • Strong knowledge of database functionality (schemas, indexing, queries, tables, etc.)
  • Experience with backup and recovery of databases
  • Experience with scripting and automation
  • Experience with data warehouses is a plus
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
