DescriptionDirector of Supply ChainThe Director of Supply Chain oversees and directs supply chain operations and the execution of material management strategies and objectives. The Director utilizes knowledge and expertise in supply chain and materials management and strong relationship management skills to support various functions within the healthcare organization.Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with the VP of Supply chain to develop and implement strategies to ensure critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance while also driving company compliance with our contractual obligations.
  • Upgrade SRM process for both direct and indirect suppliers.
  • Participate in or lead vendor sourcing events including price and contract negotiations.
  • Partner with clinical and operations leadership to develop and maintain formulary including ownership of the item master.
  • Partner with IT acting as steward of purchasing and inventory management application.
  • Provide supply chain operations leadership and support to team members in the field.
  • Support development initiatives - de novos, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Drive supplies utilization optimization through reporting, analysis, and leadership.
  • Develop and implement best practices and tools to optimize inventory levels by balancing supply risk, carrying cost, storage capacity, order frequency, etc.
  • Identify potential supply risks and develop preventive actions to avoid supply interruptions.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of current processes, investigate and evaluate solutions, and make recommendations that maximize efficiency and cost savings.
  • Additional tasks, duties and projects assigned. Supervisory Responsibility
    Depending on business needs this position may have overall supervisory responsibility for the Supply Chain team. If applicable, responsibilities include working with the VP of Supply Chain to coordinate scheduling and delegation of work, interview, train and orient of new staff, and manage overall performance, including performance reviews, corrective action, annual increases, and promotions.Position Type, Expected Hours of Work & Travel
    This is a Full-Time position. Days and hours of work are: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 10% travel is expected but may be concentrated during onboarding period or special projects.Required Education and Experience
    -Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
    - 6-8 years of related experience.
    - 3+ years of leadership experience preferred.
    - Experience in a healthcare organization preferred.
    - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    - Strong relationship management skills.
