fulfillment.What you'll do:The Consulting Network Security Engineer
is responsible for interfacing directly with end-users and vendors
to assess, recommend, design, and implement network security
solutions and technologies. Manages the development and maintenance
of network security design standards. Evaluates and recommends new
technologies as they relate to the businesses network security
strategy. Reviews proposed changes and risks to the security
environment. -Responsibilities:Leads network security planning,
design, engineering, and implementation efforts.Builds and
maintains relationships with end users and other IT departments to
understand business needs and network security
requirements.Supports department staff in analyzing, solving, and
documenting network issues, resolving errors escalated by less
experienced team members.Works with management to develop,
communicate, implement, and maintain network policies, standards,
and procedures.Serves as Network Security lead on multifunctional
project teams within IT and across lines of business.Creates and
delivers solution proposals to senior leadership, including
technical and cost analysis.Coaches, mentors, and provides feedback
to less experienced team members on departmental procedures,
policies, and standards.Solicits feedback and provides input on
department best practices, actively seeking opportunities for
improvement.Continually enhances knowledge of network security and
company standards for departmental success and professional
growth.Supports department staff in configuring and maintaining
firewalls, load-balancers, VPN, SASE, and other security
solutions.Reviews proposed firewall policy and VPN changes against
company standards and industry best practices.Performs periodic
firewall reviews, evaluates against company standards, regulatory
requirements, and industry best practices, recommending remediation
strategies.Manages risk and ensures disaster recovery in case of a
security event, participating in larger teams for security event
control, remediation, and recovery.What you'll need:EDUCATION:
-BS/BE degree in computer science, cybersecurity or related IT
fields, or equivalent experience.LICENSES/CERIFICATIONS: PCNSE, or
other intermediate to advanced level industry recognized
certifications.EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 8 years experience as a
Network Engineer or Network Security Engineer in a large-scale
inter-network environment with proven complex network design
experience.Experience with firewall/security equipment
technologies: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Checkpoint
desirable.Experience with micro-segmentation and cloud security
technologies: NSX, GCP, Azure desirable.Experience with firewall
management and monitoring platforms: Panorama, FortiManager, CMA,
FireMon desirable.Established expertise with network technologies,
including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Cisco
Firewalls.Familiarity with routed networks (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP,
static routes), SDWAN overlays (Viptela, Fortinet), topologies
(Ethernet, wireless 802.11, 802.16), and protocol
analysis.Effective oral and written communication skills for
leading discussions and interacting with end users.Ability to
perform technical consulting and problem-solving within a complex
enterprise.Established skills in coaching and mentoring less
experienced team members.Current working knowledge of MS Office 365
