The Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) is a part-time position responsible for delivering and collecting mail along a designated rural route. ARCs support full-time carriers and provide high-quality customer service to the public. This role is critical in ensuring timely delivery of mail to rural communities. Deliver mail and packages along a specified rural route. Collect outgoing mail from customers within the assigned area. Sort mail in delivery sequence for consistent and efficient service. Provide customers with postal information and services. Operate postal service vehicles according to safety standards. Proficient map reading and navigation skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to manage time effectively and adhere to schedules. Physical stamina to manage deliveries efficiently.
