POSITION SUMMARYThe Director, Franchise Sales is responsible for brand expansion of Traditional and Non-Traditional units through recruitment of new top tier franchisees, alongside expansion of existing franchisee portfolio. The Director is accountable for targeted prospecting, lead generation and follow-up, franchisee candidacy qualification, consultative selling, negotiating in CKE's best interest, and managing the development agreement process. Additionally, the Director is responsible for creating growth opportunities through innovation, strategic thinking, and building strong business relationships.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMay perform any or all of the following duties:* Accelerates expansion of brands; develops, plans and executes franchise recruitment activities that generate qualified new franchise candidates and other business platforms to grow the restaurant systems.* Utilizes industry and market experience to assist franchisees in achieving competitive penetration levels.* Makes recommendations to senior management in the creation of regional strategic development plans.* Develops, maintains and utilizes regional industry, business, and government and brokerage contacts in ongoing business development initiatives.* Leads and supports existing franchisees with restaurant development planning activities.* Initiates and participates in new market feasibility analysis.* Utilizes GIS and other planning tools to evaluate market opportunities and conduct optimization studies.* Works with Franchise Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain/Logistics, Corporate Development and Facilities teams to conduct business reviews and franchise health assessments.* Effectively utilizes and manages franchise recruitment budget for region.* Develops franchise recruitment marketing plans for regional markets with relevant localization to include trade missions and events, trade publications, direct mail, web content and other mediums.* Meets annual new restaurant development goals.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES* 6+ years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of QSR, Retail or Commercial Development * BA/BS Degree preferred* Must have excellent written and oral communications skills* Must have a demonstrated history of successful selling in a competitive environment* Prior experience in analysis (both quantitative and qualitative)* Must have intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook applications* Prior GIS or other market analytics experience* Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results* Must possess a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive informationWORK ENVIRONMENT* Corporate Office fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS* Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse* Travel as needed (50%+)THE COMPANY RETAINS THE RIGHT TO CHANGE OR ASSIGN OTHER DUTIES TO THIS POSITION AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE.
