and respect. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans for
inmates Administer medications, track dosages, and document all
patient interactions Collaborate with physicians and healthcare
providers to ensure optimal care Maintain security protocols and
ensure safety in the healthcare setting Educate inmates about
health maintenance and disease prevention Regularly update patient
records and use EMR systems Respond to medical emergencies and
provide urgent care Comply with all state and federal regulations
regarding correctional health care Strong clinical skills in a
healthcare setting Ability to operate medical equipment Proficiency
in electronic medical records (EMR) Excellent organizational and
communication skills Ability to handle high-pressure situations and
make decisions quickly Knowledge of correctional facility protocols
and procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance Active LPN license in the state of practice CPR
certified Additional certification in correctional healthcare
(CCHP) preferred but not required
